Elementary Throwback Games!

My favorite group, outdoor game: 007 aka Cops & Robbers

Ahhh yesterday!! It was my friend Eric's birthday so we had a small gathering to celebrate! While we were playing a mean game of Catch Phrase, Austin and Elisa decided they wanted to do something later on that night. So we put our game on hold and planned it all out. We decided that it would be a huge event called Elementary Throwback Games, and we would play capture the flag along with a lot of other little games. We text everyone we in our phones and decided that we needed to go home and nap (: Last night we played a very competitive game of capture the flag, so competitive, in fact, that Jasper rolled his ankle. After everyone went home and the games were over (my team won of course.... but with no help from me) some of us had an hour long prayer session praying for Jasper's ankle. Overall it was a good day! (:

Other than that not a lot has been going on in my life! I am possibly (most likely) leaving for a trip next Monday! I will be gone 3 weeks! (: I'm so excited I'm bursting!

Questions

The weirdest question I have ever been asked: "What you would do if you woke up and your eyebrows fell off?" I love you Emily (:

So you may have noticed, maybe not, that there is a question type, fact thing about me at the top of my blogs. You also may have noticed that it goes with what I write about that day. I think that if you are going to read my blogs you should get to know me. You can try and figure me out by the way I write, and what I say in my blogs, but these questions/facts are blunt answers instead of a puzzle. I also think it adds a little something to each blog! (: One of my favorite songs by a very smart man is called Questions (lyrics below). I think it's amazing how we are all wired a certain way, and think differently. Some people may seem a lot alike, but they are still different somehow. No two people are exactly the same, it's just like how no two snowflakes are the same. That blows my mind.... & that right there, that fact, is how I know that God is real, and amazing, and creative, and loves us, and gave me all my talents and giftings. That's why I will use them for Him. Wow I kind of got off track there! (:

Last night my brother was being super cute! My brother is 9 years old (my sister is 11), and he says & does some of the cutest things ever! So last night I told my siblings that they could sleep on my floor if they wanted to, so they did and they decided to be super loud and annoying. Next thing I know they are wrestling on my floor! I told my brother to get on my bed and I started trying to calm him down. I told him not to fight back and just to leave her alone. My brother decided to put on his cute voice and said "I'm just trying to defend myself". This folks is bull crap! My brother started most of the fights last night, but he looked so sad and had such a cute voice... but I was not going to fall for it! I put on my cute voice and told him the same thing but added "You can't say no to me! I have an adorable face!" He turned away from me and answered by saying "But I'm not looking at you! So I will fight back!" He is such a brat but it was so cute! (:

I have a baby shower to get ready for so I should go! More funny stories to come, I promise! (:

Questions by: Jack Johnson

Questions, I've got some questions
I want to know you
But what if I could ask you only one thing
Only this one time, what would you tell me?
Well maybe you could give me a suggestion
So I could know you, what would you tell me?
Maybe you could tell me what to ask you
Because then I'd know you, what would you tell me
Please tell me that there's time
To make this work for all intents and purposes
And what are your intentions, will you try?
Impressions, you've made impressions
They're going nowhere
They're just going to wait here if you let them
Please don't let them
I want to know you
And if they're going to haunt me
Please collect them
Please just collect them
And now I'm begging
I'm begging you to ask me just one question
One simple question
Because then you'd know me
I'll tell you that there's time
To make this work for all intents and purposes
At least for my own
What is a heart worth if it's just left all alone?
Leave it long enough and watch it turn into stone
Why must we always be untrue?

Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dumb

My favorite classic Disney movie: Alice in Wonderland or Peter Pan
My favorite Dr. Seuss book: How the Grinch Stole Christmas

So even though it's only the end of August and Halloween is two months away, my siblings and I have already started planning. Our original plan was that I would be Cat in the Hat, and my sister & brother would be Thing One and Thing Two. It was a genius plan; we were all going to be so adorable, but of course my sister had to mess things up. Now here's a little background on my sister. She's sweet, giving, loving, but ..... she also is headstrong, irritable, and mischievous. I love her, but she definitely knows how to get on my last nerve. Anyway, back to my story. So my sister decided that she doesn't want to be thing one or thing two, she wants to be a football player. My brother and I were distraught! I suggested that since they are two peas in a pod, we should dress up in another theme! I asked her if my she would dress up as Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dumb with my brother, and I would be Alice. I was shocked when she said she would rather be Tweedle Dee than Thing One! First of all Thing One is definitely cuter than Tweedle Dee. Second does my brother really want to walk around on Halloween night dressed as Tweedle Dumb? I guess they should decide if what they want to dress up as amongst themselves and tell me if they want to do a theme or not.

Last night I reverted back to my childhood and watched Snow White on VHS. It makes me smile to know I was so content with watching videos with crappy sound and a horrible picture. I think I should invite my friends over and have a Disney classics marathon, but I don't know how many of my friends would actually show up to that! Haha!

A Glimpse of My Life

My all time favorite movie: Either the Dark Knight, Charade, or The Notebook. (Those don't go together very well do they?) I could watch all of those movies over and over again; they are amazing!

Today my grandma is coming over, so my dad called me twice this morning, left me a voice mail and text me to make sure I was up. When I finally got up and realized what time it was, I called him. I tried to make it not obvious that I was still in bed, but I think he could tell. After I got off the phone with him, I jumped out of bed and was ready to try and tackle all the things that needed to be done in 45 minutes. I must say you can do a lot when you put your mind to it! I shuffled into the laundry room and threw my laundry in the dryer, while yelling from the back of the house to the front at my siblings telling them to start school. I then walked into my room threw on some clothes that aren't "walk out of the house material" but better than my pj's. I soon realized that my morning breath smelled like death and so I went into the bathroom to brush my teeth to realize that it needed a roll of toilet paper and tooth paste, so I made my way to my parents bedroom to grab the extra tube of tooth paste, and a roll of toilet paper. I started brushing my teeth and remembered a little, skit I guess, that my youth group did. It made me laugh and gag, which isn't a very fun feeling, to laugh and gag at the same time. When I finished I walked out in the living room to find my siblings eating ice cream. I pried the ice cream away from them and told them to do school. I metaphorically pried it from their hands of course, in reality all I did was threaten them with a phone call to my dad. Then I started cleaning around the house; I picked up my siblings messes, fluffed the couches, cleared the counters, and grabbed myself some Chex Mix. I love Chex Mix, it's both nutritious and delicious.... well not really nutritious but oh so delicious! (: I then sat down checked my email, remembered I needed to make some calls tonight, looked at my Facebook, put on some music, and started writing this blog entry. So over all it has been a pretty productive morning!

Last night I watched a movie that I can add to my list of favorites! It is called The Soloist. It is about a schizophrenic homeless guy (Nathaniel Ayers, who is played by Jamie Foxx) who is an amazing violin and cello player, and a Los Angeles newspaper reporter (Steve Lopez, played by Robert Downing Jr.). Throughout the movie you find out the story of Nathaniel and how he became homeless after being a student at Julliard. It's an amazing movie, I totally recommend it!

Well it's time for me to go and take on the rest of my day!

Watch Out World, I Have a Blog!

What I am listening to: The Everglow by: Mae

Yay, I have a blog!!!!! This is not the first blog I have ever started, but it is the blog I intend on keeping up with! I'm not very good at sticking with things, so I am determined to keep up with this. I don't really have a reason for writing a blog, but I was inspired by some of my friends that have started blogs and recently I just watched Julie & Julia. I feel like I should have something productive to do everyday instead of just sit on Facebook!

This blog has no direction, and I don't have much to say, but hopefully it will go somewhere! (: So wish me luck with this new journey! Haha wow that sounds so corny! (:
