A Glimpse of My Life

My all time favorite movie: Either the Dark Knight, Charade, or The Notebook. (Those don't go together very well do they?) I could watch all of those movies over and over again; they are amazing!

Today my grandma is coming over, so my dad called me twice this morning, left me a voice mail and text me to make sure I was up. When I finally got up and realized what time it was, I called him. I tried to make it not obvious that I was still in bed, but I think he could tell. After I got off the phone with him, I jumped out of bed and was ready to try and tackle all the things that needed to be done in 45 minutes. I must say you can do a lot when you put your mind to it! I shuffled into the laundry room and threw my laundry in the dryer, while yelling from the back of the house to the front at my siblings telling them to start school. I then walked into my room threw on some clothes that aren't "walk out of the house material" but better than my pj's. I soon realized that my morning breath smelled like death and so I went into the bathroom to brush my teeth to realize that it needed a roll of toilet paper and tooth paste, so I made my way to my parents bedroom to grab the extra tube of tooth paste, and a roll of toilet paper. I started brushing my teeth and remembered a little, skit I guess, that my youth group did. It made me laugh and gag, which isn't a very fun feeling, to laugh and gag at the same time. When I finished I walked out in the living room to find my siblings eating ice cream. I pried the ice cream away from them and told them to do school. I metaphorically pried it from their hands of course, in reality all I did was threaten them with a phone call to my dad. Then I started cleaning around the house; I picked up my siblings messes, fluffed the couches, cleared the counters, and grabbed myself some Chex Mix. I love Chex Mix, it's both nutritious and delicious.... well not really nutritious but oh so delicious! (: I then sat down checked my email, remembered I needed to make some calls tonight, looked at my Facebook, put on some music, and started writing this blog entry. So over all it has been a pretty productive morning!

Last night I watched a movie that I can add to my list of favorites! It is called The Soloist. It is about a schizophrenic homeless guy (Nathaniel Ayers, who is played by Jamie Foxx) who is an amazing violin and cello player, and a Los Angeles newspaper reporter (Steve Lopez, played by Robert Downing Jr.). Throughout the movie you find out the story of Nathaniel and how he became homeless after being a student at Julliard. It's an amazing movie, I totally recommend it!

Well it's time for me to go and take on the rest of my day!

Love,
Cadence
